Vindication

What next? If we give up poetry and art and work harder to restrict ourselves from referring to "energies" and "climates" etc. for the good of the cause, won't this restrict our pleasures and enjoyment in our lives? Yes, it will, but this is a small price to pay for our eternal salvation. Some may object to the idea that we cannot work for harmony or peace in our families and workplaces. Did Jesus have harmony in his work? I don't think so. Why should we think that our lives could be happier or more harmonious than His? But won't we lose our jobs if we keep correcting people who use nouns that might somehow refer to consciousness? Maybe so. What is more important, keeping our jobs and feeding our families, or staying the course? If we increase the pressure, we might bring about the apocalypse sooner. Wouldn't that be a good thing?

One thing that does bother me a little though is that I see many in our movement to be angry and hateful. What is there to be hateful about? We know we are right. We know the end is coming soon and we will be vindicated. Why not be happy and joyful as we restrict ourselves more and more, as we become tighter and tighter and tighter bound to the correct way? If we waste our energy by hatefulness within our hearts, then we might end up slipping down the other side of the slope. If we correct people with a smile on our faces then perhaps some may actually join our side.

I guess this needs some explaining. The slippery slope I referred to earlier is the slope that goes towards believing in consciousness and that we can solve our problems without God. The other side of the slope is to become so angry and hateful that we end up supporting the devil's work. Remember that he is the deceiver. He may pretend to stand with us in order to get us to feel hateful in our hearts toward liberals or homosexuals for example. As that hatefulness sinks into our hearts we may become cold-hearted and that is what the devil wants us to feel, because then we cannot feel God's love.

So is it possible to give up so much and not get angry and hateful? Of course it is! I would like to hear how others are achieving this balance. Remember I am not talking about making peace in the world. I am talking about feeling peace in our hearts through the grace of God Himself. And sharing that peace by correcting everybody else. Doesn't that make more sense?

Obama and Nobel Peace Prize: A Slippery Slope

It should come to no surprise that I, like many others, was upset when Obama won the Nobel Peace Prize, but I would like to add a viewpoint to this that has yet to be emphasized among conservative Christians. I would like to adamantly reject the notion of “a climate of peace” that the Nobel Committee talked about. There can be no “climate of peace” because that assumes that there is a kind of consciousness that exists outside of God. We know that God is in charge of whether there is peace or war in a particular situation and that those of us who believe in Him, in doing His will, will sometimes have to fight wars. If we allow for a “climate of peace” or a “climate of war” then we are going down a slippery slope toward a Godless society. In either case, by using such terms we are inadvertently accepting the existence of consciousness outside of God.

THIS IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS. I have seen blogs and Facebook accounts where conservative Christians say things like: “I sensed the animosity of the group” or “I walked into the house where my family was and I could feel the love there.” Remember folks, there is no “love” that exists outside of God and no “animosity” or “hatred” or “energy” of ANY KIND that exists outside of us or outside of God or the devil. There is nuclear energy or coal energy, but there is NO SUCH THING as a sort of “energy” that liberals talk about. This is the same as saying “I feel your vibes” or “I can see your aura.” This is New Age nonsense. This is liberal Opra-type talk. We must put an end to it among ourselves first of all.

As individuals we can feel “angry” or “sad” or even “loving” but that DOES NOT CREATE an “energy of love” or a “climate of sadness.” This would give man the ability to create and we all know that only God can create.

This is the beginning of a slippery slope. Once we start accepting that man can create then we are all lost. Pretty soon, we would have to accept that God is unnecessary. We would have to face our problems as human beings and try to work them out. It is then only a small step toward thinking that we can make peace with unbelievers. We know that God would not want that. We all know that God has planned an apocalypse and it would be the ultimate of sacrilege to think that we can create peace on this planet.

Remember the scripture from Matthew:

10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.

10:35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.

10:36 And a man's foes [shall be] they of his own household.

10:37 He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. (King James version)

Please keep coming back to this scripture whenever you find a fellow Christian talking about peace or harmony.

So you may ask: what do we do? I do not pretend to have the answers but I have prayed a lot about this and have come up with some suggestions. I consider the following to be modest proposals, and I would welcome comments and further ideas from other conservative Christians who might have better ideas.

1) Stop using nouns such as “climate,” “energy,” “vibrations or vibes,” “anger,” “hatred,” “peace,” “racism” to describe what happens in groups or organizations. Instead use adjectives in describing individuals such as: “He was angry,” “she was energetic,” “they were righteous,” “liberals are racist.”

2) Scrutinize each other to follow the above. Things have gotten so bad that liberals have influenced many of us and we don’t even realize it when we start using nouns instead of adjectives in describing things that happen in our lives. This may make our lives less rich or beautiful, but this is a small price to pay for preserving God’s ways. I am thinking that we may have to eliminate all poetry and art from our lives as well because these activities tend to favor the notion of consciousness. Even so called Christian art and poetry often makes this mistake. We must be vigilant in this. It will not be easy, but it is crucially important.

3) Find allies outside of our conservative Christian base to help us to make these changes. This may be controversial but this task is so important and so difficult that we may need to make temporary allies with folks we would normally associate with. Here are some ideas:

a. Scientists – Generally scientists do not believe in “consciousness” because this cannot be proven using the scientific method. Some scientists will say there might be something like consciousness but that it emerges from the complications of the brain, and does not exist outside of the body. Of course the problem with aligning ourselves with scientists is that we are currently fighting a battle with them about evolution. I suggest, again perhaps this idea will be controversial, that we put the evolution battle on the back burner. Fortunately the scientists haven’t emphasized the DNA factor and if they decide to do so, we are up the proverbial creek without a paddle. Our DNA is 98% identical to those of chimpanzees. It is 70% identical with mice, 47% identical with fruit flies, and 20% identical with yeast. If we argue with the DNA evidence, then what will we do if one of us is falsely accused of a crime and we need DNA evidence to prove our innocence? We can’t have it both ways. The way the government is going, the liberals may target any of us anytime and try to frame us for crimes. DNA evidence may be our only hope. So let’s put the evolution battle on the backburner and align ourselves with the scientists to push the truth that THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS CONSCIOUSNESS OUTSIDE THE BODY.

b. Atheists – Some of these folks will be the same as the scientists, but there are plenty of atheists who are not scientists. As you may have guessed, atheists also do not believe in consciousness. This will of course be tricky, because many of them believe in Ethics and would prefer that the Earth be peaceful and without conflict. However, we might be able to align with the initially as we make the case that THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS CONSCIOUSNESS.

4) Stop worrying about getting along with others at the workplace or in our families. Such activities have held us back for too long from the battle ahead. Any attempt to get along with others could add to the movement toward belief in consciousness and this is our most important task now. Let’s proclaim loudly and frequently our new mantras: “THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS CONSCIOUSNESS” and “MAN DOES NOT CREATE. ONLY GOD CREATES.”

5) Even though we support the emergence of new businesses, we must not talk about “creating new jobs” through the hard work of small businesses. We should say instead, “God created some new jobs when our friend worked hard as a small businessman.” Remember “MAN DOES NOT CREATE. ONLY GOD CREATES.”

6) Now that a new conservative translation of the Bible has been undertaken, (see http://conservapedia.com/Conservative_Bible) let’s make sure that the words of peace associated with Jesus be eliminated or at least a disclaimer added. There are many examples of this but one which is often quoted is Matthew 5:9 “Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.” A disclaimer could be added to this passage such as “We all understand that Jesus was talking about God’s peace not man’s and that peacemakers are often soldiers in our modern world.” I would also add that as this new translation is put together that all nouns that could be construed to refer to “consciousness” also be eliminated. Jesus is often portrayed as someone who could “read the souls” of others. We must understand that he was able to do that only because he is God. No other humans can do this. We must emphasize this over and over again.

There is much more to say, but I present this essay as a starting point among conservative Christians. I welcome any comments and other ideas.
